Payroll InformationYou will receive quarterly $0.50 per hour step increases during your first year of employment, bringing the rate to [starting rate + $2] by the end of the first year.

Perform loading/unloading of RJW trucks and outside carriers, ensure shipments are properly stored, and pick orders from inventory as directed by customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Load/unload truck trailers safely and efficiently, including using outside carrier equipment.
- Pick and move items weighing from 1 lb to 50 lb or more repeatedly.
- Ensure all documentation is properly completed.
- Coordinate with dispatch and sales to resolve discrepancies.
- Store inbound loads in correct warehouse locations.
- Mark shipments properly before storing or picking.
- Maintain orderly stacking and clean housekeeping in the warehouse.
- Spot trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and equipment flow.
- Coordinate paperwork with drivers after daily dispatch operations.
- Maintain general upkeep of the surrounding warehouse area.
- Sweep trailers clean of debris when empty.
- Staging and loading of shipments correctly.
- Process outbound freight and cross‑dock freight as required.
- Operate stand‑up reach forklifts, walkie riders, and sit‑down forklifts.
- Follow all safety procedures at all times.
- Build pallets and break down stock.
- Work in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager.
- Operate forklift, walkie rider, and/or stand‑up reach forklift.
- Communicate effectively, resolve problems, and work well with others.
- Maintain orderly warehouse operation.
- 6 months to 1 year forklift driving experience.
- Certified forklift certification is a plus.
- Experience with walkie rider or reach truck required.
- Communicate, read, write, and speak English.
- Interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or regulations.
- Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Compute rates, ratios, and percent; interpret bar graphs.
- Solve practical problems where limited standardization exists.
- Interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Determine root cause of problems and propose corrective action.
- Knowledge of Business Operating Systems, internet software, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
- Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Operate phone systems using keyboards and buttons.
- Speak comfortably in front of others.
- Work in an indoor office environment, sit, and perform repetitive hand motions.
- Talk, hear, stand, and walk regularly.
- Work over 8 continuous hours when required.
- Work under stressful situations; maintain accuracy and multitask capability.
- Read and discern visual images on varied media with 20/20 corrected vision.
- Communicate clearly over the phone.
- Be in sound physical health as verified by a licensed physician with no controlled‑substance use.
- Exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; noise ranges from quiet to moderately loud.
