Job Overview
The Chadwell Supply Lead Driver Supervisor transports product goods and materials from distribution facilities, customers, and vendors. Work shifts may require late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. The Lead Driver Supervisor knows all delivery area routes and can fill in for any route driver. This position leads and manages all other delivery drivers in the assigned area, ensuring vehicle maintenance and safety records.
Responsibilities- Coordinate all delivery driver safety meetings, maintain attendance records, and post required materials.
- Review driver safety program coaching sessions and provide coaching to improve driving behaviors.
- Assist Branch supervision in recognizing and presenting safe driver certificates and awards.
- Lead and manage 4 to 9 delivery drivers.
- Assist in training new delivery drivers.
- Assist with all required record files in the system.
- Ensure daily truck inspections are performed and complete all daily delivery manifests.
- Accountable for delivery fleet vehicles, fuel cards, receipts, ignition keys, and spares.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with less than 3 total points and no points less than one year old. Zero points is preferred.
- Physical ability to lift over 60 lbs, stand for extended periods, climb steps and ladders, bend, stoop, and carry products up steps, stairs, and down ramps.
- Pass DOT physical and obtain DOT Medical Examination Card if required by law.
- Minimum 3 years as a delivery driver and previous supervision experience.
- Ability to read road maps, follow GPS directions, and navigate highways efficiently.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
- Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
Starting pay: $25.50/hour based on experience.
Full time:
Monday‒Friday. 6 am – finish or 9:30 am – finish. Hours can fluctuate; flexibility required to cover openings/closings.
