Our client, a leading organization in the logistics and transportation industry, is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join their team. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be an integral part of the operations team supporting efficient freight management and customer service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and a commitment to excellence, which will align successfully within the organization.

Pay Rate: $19

Shift: Sunday and Wednesday off, 7am-3:30pm

What's the Job?

• Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders into the Freight Optimizer system
• Update account managers on problem loads and actions taken; inform receivers and customers on load status
• Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries to ensure timely and condition-compliant arrivals
• Take check calls from drivers, ensuring loads will deliver on time; validate all load data prior to marking loads delivered for accounting
• Investigate product overages, shortages, damages, and complete appropriate documentation

What's Needed?

• At least 1 year of logistics experience
• General knowledge of the transportation industry
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory)
• Experience writing routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to understand and apply instructions in written, verbal, or diagram form
