Purpose of the Position
The Warehouse Assistant plays a key role in supporting Action Truck Parts’ mission to provide customers with high-quality, heavy-duty aftermarket truck parts and timely service. This role ensures products are accurately received, stored, and shipped, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
SummaryThe Warehouse Assistant is responsible for a variety of shipping, receiving, and inventory management tasks. This includes inspecting incoming shipments, preparing customer orders for delivery, organizing inventory, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Duties and Responsibilities- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies, and promptly report any issues.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments based on customer orders.
- Organize and store materials in the warehouse by part number and/or description.
- Load and unload delivery trucks or trailers by hand or with material handling equipment.
- Maintain orderly and accurate shipping and receiving records.
- Perform daily light maintenance duties, including sweeping, mopping, and taking out garbage.
- Assist with loading/unloading the company truck for deliveries, as needed.
- Keep the warehouse and receiving areas clean, safe, and organized.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Occasional sitting, climbing, or balancing.
- Regularly required to lift/move items up to 10 lbs, frequently up to 50 lbs, and occasionally over 100 lbs.
- Use of hands for manual tasks and operation of warehouse equipment.
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to shift focus quickly between tasks without loss of productivity or accuracy.
- Willingness to work in a fast‑paced warehouse environment
Preferred
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience
- Experience with material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
- Familiarity with heavy‑duty truck parts is a plus
This position is based in a warehouse setting with frequent exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and physical tasks. Proper safety protocols and equipment are provided and expected to be used at all times.
