Position Description
Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Associate for Supplier Compliance Returns in Bolingbrook, Illinois.
This role offers weekly pay, on‑the‑job paid training, medical, dental, vision, 401(k) (starting at 30 days), paid time off, 401(k) match, employee stock discount, safety gear, and state‑of‑the‑art equipment.
Schedule:
First Shift Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.
- Hourly pay: $19.00 per hour
- Overtime pay: $28.50 per hour
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Six months of related warehouse experience (required)
- One year or more related warehouse experience (preferred)
- Operation of powered industrial trucks (stand‑up and sit‑down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks) and maintenance (intermediate required)
- Operation of manual or automated warehouse equipment (such as a packaging line) (intermediate preferred)
- Powered industrial truck certification
- Reading, basic mathematics, and English proficiency for safety and work instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Input data into the WMS computer system
- Work overtime as assigned
- Ability to build professional relationships at all organizational levels
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and self‑drive in a fast‑paced environment
- Multi‑tasking, highly organized, excellent time‑management skills
- Attention to detail and excellent follow‑up practices
- Package, kit, and/or assemble orders and materials.
- Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers, ensuring all scanning is completed correctly.
- Train dock employees on new procedures; ensure facility security at end of shift and resolve scanning and housekeeping issues.
- Perform picking and packing duties and check for product or container damage.
- Handle materials per the location’s policies, procedures, and transaction requirements.
- Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions.
- Participate in workgroup and team activities to improve warehouse operations.
- Perform housekeeping duties for the assigned area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
