Forklift Operator

Vistar, a leading national wholesale distributor of food and beverages, is seeking a reliable 1st Shift Forklift Operator to support our fast-paced warehouse operations. In this role, you will safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and move product, pick and stage orders, and help maintain accurate inventory. You'll perform pre-shift equipment checks, follow OSHA and company safety standards, and assist with general warehouse tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move products safely within the warehouse
• Pick, stage, and stack pallets according to orders and delivery schedules
• Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report any mechanical or safety issues
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and properly scan and label products
• Follow all OSHA, safety, and company policies, including proper PPE use and safe driving practices
• Assist with general warehouse tasks such as pallet wrapping, cleaning, and organizing storage areas
• Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow and meet productivity goals
• Support a clean, organized, and efficient first-shift operation focused on customer service and on-time delivery

Required Skills

• RF scanner or barcode scanning
• Loading and unloading trailers and containers
