Job Title: Commercial Driver

Reports To: Store Manager

To safely drive product and delivery multiple orders to and from specific locations, and occasionally other destinations, in a safe and effective manner while adhering to time schedules and traffic laws.

• Greet all customers, respond to customer questions/requests and explain store policies in a courteous manner while not driving.
• Ensure the safety of self, customers, and co‑workers by understanding and practicing store safety rules and notifying a supervisor of any potential hazard immediately. Remove broken containers and packing materials from the sales floor or product preparation area immediately.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors and managers, substitute for absent workers and perform any additional tasks necessary to provide products and services to customers during peak periods of business.
• Operate the vehicle safely and follow all traffic laws at all times.
• Pick up and drop off orders on designated routes in a timely manner in accordance with schedules, which could include multiple pickups and drop offs.
• Demonstrate an appreciation of, sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse environment, inclusive of students and associates of many social, economic, cultural, ideological, racial and ethnic backgrounds.

• Inside and outside work with extreme variations in heat, cold, dust, humidity.

• Class A Driver’s License, issued by the resident state.
• Ability to give/receive complex verbal instructions/descriptions to/from supervisors/co‑workers/employees concerning store/department policy/procedures and use of equipment.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
• Clean driving record.
• Basic reading and writing ability; able to read instructions, merchandise labels, warehouse order codes, numbers, reports, printed paper and forms.
• Good interpersonal communications.
• At least 25 years of age.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
