Purpose

An opportunity to join a dynamic team driven to source, attract, and engage diverse top talent across North America. This position reports to Manager, Operations, Water, Missouri Water, and is responsible for work in Bolivar, MO as well as other Liberty water facilities in Missouri.

Accountabilities
  • Perform routine functions associated with daily operations of a collection, treatment, and system.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and OSHA regulations, stopping and correcting unsafe work practices.
  • Conduct daily inspections of all sites, lagoons, and lift stations, noting motor run times, pump rates, and general condition.
  • Inspect for leaks, repair service lines, wastewater mains, and lift stations when possible, and coordinate contractor repairs.
  • Assist contractors and perform light maintenance and lubrication of excavating and construction equipment, clean and fuel company vehicles as needed.
  • Assist customers with wastewater-related issues, arrange or complete sampling to ensure satisfaction and confidence.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs at sites, including filter changes, chemical system adjustments, feed pump repairs, motor and pump maintenance, and scheduled electric motor maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily operations.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow workers.
  • Perform any other duties assigned.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Specialized knowledge of wells, pumps, motors, chlorine systems, plumbing principles, and system repairs.
  • Experience in plumbing, well operation, and distribution water mains.
  • Valid Missouri Operator’s Driver’s License Class E or CDL required; tanker endorsement preferred or obtainable within 6 months.
  • Missouri D Wastewater Treatment Certification or higher, or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Ability to read and understand reports, maps, and drawings.
  • Proficiency in general math calculations and common water calculations.

Compensation

Union Range: $23.88 – $30.75 per hour. Pay per scale and based on level of certification and experience.
