Senior Financial Analyst

Reporting to the Controller, Aggregates and Asphalt, GIP is seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team in Caledon, ON. This role will be instrumental in providing financial analysis, insights, and support to drive strategic decision‑making and ensure the financial health and growth of the Aggregates and Asphalt team.

• Preparation and review of the monthly financial statements
• Manage monthly balance sheet reconciliation
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities that may affect the organization’s financial performance
• Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
• Collect and compile data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and integrity
• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad‑hoc reports, tools, and dashboards
• Participate in the financial planning and budgeting process
• Collaborate on projects to provide financial insight and support project objectives

• Post‑secondary degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• Pursuing CPA designation
• A minimum of 3‑5 years of Financial Analyst experience, preferably in Construction or Asphalt industry
• Excellent communication skills to convey financial information effectively
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
• Proficient in financial software and MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups, macros)
• Strong attention to detail and capability to identify potential financial risk and opportunities

• Expected base salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year, dependent on experience, qualifications, internal equity, work location and market expectations
