Power HVAC Mechanic (Service Tech III)

As a Power HVAC Mechanic (Service Tech III) within the Power/HVAC division at United Rentals, you will perform maintenance and repair tasks on a variety of equipment in a safe and professional manner.

Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing diesel engines, HVAC equipment, and dehumidification/air purification equipment. You will provide exceptional customer service, document service activities, occasionally travel to customer sites, demonstrate equipment, train lower level technicians, and assist with equipment and parts pick-up and delivery. The position is Safety Sensitive per United Rentals policies.

• Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment
• Report machine condition to Management
• Responsible for service documentation
• Occasional travel to customer sites
• Demonstrate equipment for customers
• Train lower level technicians as needed
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
• Other duties assigned as needed

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment
• Intermediate to advanced diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and other systems
• Strong mechanical background knowledge, particularly with various engines
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams
• Own the tools applicable to position
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

$23.60 - $47.95 per hour
