Position: Maintenance Mechanic Role at UPS
Join UPS as a Maintenance Mechanic at our Caledon facility, where you'll maintain cutting-edge sorting systems. This role demands expertise in conveyors and industrial equipment upkeep.
In this full-time, unionized position, you are vital in ensuring the smooth operation of UPS's automated sorting hub. Responsibilities include repairing mechanical components, conducting preventive maintenance on various conveyance systems, and troubleshooting complex automated equipment. Flexibility is required to meet the peaks of operational demands across the week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and maintain conveyor systems and associated equipment

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on handling systems

• Troubleshoot malfunctions in sorting and conveyance technology

• Conduct welding operations for equipment repair

• Execute preventive maintenance and inspections on plant machinery
Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification

• Active Millwright or Industrial Electrician certification required

• Minimum of 3 years experience in relevant maintenance roles

• Excellent communication abilities for teamwork

• Familiarity with technical schematics and drawings
