Heavy Plant Mechanic

Location: Workshop (Bolton) and UK-wide (travel required)

We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Plant Mechanic to join our growing team. This is a workshop and field-based role working across the UK, supporting a modern fleet of specialist plant and equipment.

• NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability
• Willing and able to travel across the UK at short notice
• Comfortable with nights away from home
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
• Confident reading and working from electrical and hydraulic schematics
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Previous experience within piling and/or ground stabilisation equipment
• Field service or mobile plant maintenance background

• Diagnose, service, and repair heavy plant and specialist equipment
• Carry out breakdowns, planned maintenance, and inspections on-site
• Maintain high standards of safety, workmanship, and professionalism
• Liaise with operations and management to minimise downtime
