Automatic Door Engineer – Swindon / Reading Area

Salary: Up to £44,460 basic per year

We’re working with a rapidly growing, close-knit business in the automatic and industrial door industry
. Due to continued success and increased workload, they’re looking for an Automatic Door Engineer to join their friendly team, covering the Swindon, Reading, and surrounding areas
.

• Service, maintain, fault find, and repair automatic doors (majority of the role)
• Occasional installations
• Work with commercial and retail clients across the Swindon–Reading region
• Jobs are usually kept within approximately two hours of your home postcode
• Ensure all work meets EN16005 compliance standards
• Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally

• EN16005 compliant (essential)
• Experience with automatic doors
• Knowledge of industrial doors, gates, or barriers desirable but not essential
• Full UK driving licence
• Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn — open to engineers with less experience if they have the right mindset

• Up to £44,460 basic salary
• Door-to-door pay
• Overtime:
  Time and a half (05:00–07:30 / 17:30–00:00), double time thereafter
• On-call rota: 1 in 6, £175 standby fee
  , call-outs paid at 1.5x
• Company van (available for personal use)
• 28 days holiday including bank holidays
