To develop students' skills in Agricultural Science and Agricultural Mechanics. To oversee and grow both the FFA and Jr. FFA programs.

• Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles.
• Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
• Ability to engage in self‑evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
• Overnight travel required to accompany students to show their project(s).

• Texas State Certification as an Agriculture Science Teacher – Secondary
• Welding Certification

• Bachelor's from an accredited college or university in an education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
• Master’s Degree in a related area preferred.

• Successful prior teaching experience preferred.
