Junior High Special Education Resource Teacher (Grades 7-8)/Coach
Position Purpose
- Teaches students math and reading as set forth by the TEKS and the students' IEP.
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles.
- Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
- Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
- Texas State Certification - Generalist 4-8, Core Subjects 4-8 AND Special Education EC-12
- Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
- Successful prior teaching experience preferred.
- Begin August 4, 2025
