High School Teacher (Math, Science or SpEd) / Head Baseball Coach + 2nd Sport

Purpose:

To instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. To develop student's skills in the applicable teaching area.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles.
• Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
• Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.

Certification/License:
Texas State Certification applicable to teaching area CTE Certification preferred

Education:

Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment. Masters Degree in related area preferred.

Qualifications:

• Has the ability to organize and supervise the baseball program.
• Has previous successful coaching experience in baseball.

Reports To:

The boys athletic director and the high school principals

Salary:
See BISD Salary Schedule + $7000 Head Baseball Stipend + $5500 Asst. Football Stipend + certification stipend if applicable + 10 Days Stipend + CDL Stipend if applicable + BISD pays $325.00 towards medical premium + BISD pays for Telehealth for employee + BISD provides a $10,000 Life Insurance Policy
