Overview
Registered Nurse Orthopedic Surgery professional will join a 150+ bed acute‑care hospital serving Northeast Texas and Southeast Oklahoma. The facility offers advanced trauma services, top‑ranked orthopedic outcomes, and a culture focused on patient safety and clinical excellence.
Responsibilities- Pre‑ and post‑operative assessment of orthopedic patients
- Administer multi‑modal pain management protocols
- Implement early mobility and DVT/SSI prevention strategies
- Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesia, hospitalists, PT/OT, pharmacy, and case management
- Deliver patient and family education
- Maintain precise documentation and facilitate throughput
- Participate in daily huddles and multidisciplinary rounds
- Precept new staff, serve on clinical councils, and step into charge assignments as needed
