On the Med-Surg/Medical Unit, a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will practice across a broad adult population for faster skill growth and career mobility in a 150+ bed, acute-care facility serving Northeast Texas and Southeast Oklahoma with a 100+ year history, featuring an Advanced Level III Trauma Facility designation, a top 5% national ranking for orthopedic outcomes, high-performing status in heart failure care, and certification in Advanced Primary Stroke Care;

In this role, the Medical Surgical Registered Nurse typically reports to a Med-Surg Nurse Manager with daily support from Charge Nurses and a collaborative hospitalist team, benefiting from thoughtfully staffed assignments, dedicated patient care technicians, case management, respiratory therapy, PT/OT, pharmacy, telemetry/monitor techs, and rapid response resources; responsibilities for the RN Medical Surgical professional include comprehensive assessments, evidence-based interventions, medication safety, care coordination, discharge planning, and opportunities to precept, join councils, and contribute to quality, safety, and DEI initiatives alongside friendly nurses and a diverse, supportive healthcare team.
