Class A CDL Driver – Toter Driver –
Reports to:
Terminal Manager. Cooperates with:
Driver Supervisors, Home Center Team, Manufacturing Team, Pilot Escorts.
- Safe and effective transportation of oversized loads within the region.
- Safe operation of all equipment, including daily maintenance checks and electronic driver logs.
- Operate and maintain equipment to meet DOT compliance standards.
- Coordinate daily permits and load selection with Driver Supervisors and Pilot/Escort Drivers.
- Coordinate pickup of scheduled oversized loads.
- Coordinate delivery and placement of oversized loads at appointed retail locations.
- Provide route information and best practices to the oversized load team.
- Return to the terminal with completed delivery paperwork in a timely manner.
- Perform end-of-shift/throughput cleanup procedures, including cleaning and servicing of workstations and equipment.
- Report traffic accidents or load damages to local authorities and driver supervisor team promptly.
- Provide world-class customer experience while over-the-road and during home delivery.

- Meet FMCSR Part 391.41 and CMH Transport guidelines: must be medically qualified to operate a commercial motor vehicle and maintain a valid DOT medical card.
- Meet DOT vision and hearing standards, including color recognition, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Speak, read, and write English as required for safety and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to climb in and out of tractors, access equipment, and perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections requiring walking, bending, and kneeling.
- Safely handle and secure oversized loads, including lifting, pulling, and securing components such as hitches and safety chains.
- Lift up to 50 lbs and perform load securement, inspections, and equipment checks; sit for extended periods while driving long distances.
