Teacher, Early Childhood Education

East Missouri Action Agency has an opening for a Teacher in Head Start. This position is responsible for providing overall classroom management, including, but not limited to: teaching, problem solving, organization and emergency procedures. Designs and implements work plan to meet children's individual needs.

Applicant must be at least 18 years of age and possess at a minimum an Associate in Early Childhood Education or related field and work to achieve a degree within three years of employment. Must have experience in pre-school or Early Childhood education. A valid driver's license, proof of insurance and a reliable automobile is required. This position requires good written and oral communication skills, the ability to lift up to 25 pounds easily and the ability to work in a moderate to loud environment.

Must pass an annual physical and TB test and be able to attend training as required by the Federal and State Government and local Head Start policies.

This position works 40 hours per week (Monday through Friday). The starting pay range for this position is $17.32 - $20.00/hour with an excellent benefit package that includes the following:
