Front‑line involvement in day‑to‑day processes. Aides operations to maintain stability, studies and corrects deviations, and provides the technical basis for plant operations at the front line. Supports and leads front‑line improvements and control management.
- Perform process audits of equipment on a regimented basis.
- Measure, track, and leverage energy and fuel streams to optimize cost and satisfy quality goals.
- Provide leadership to plant operators by forming plans of control around process.
- Work with Process Control Engineers to use and maintain PLC tools to reduce variation in process.
- Understand and use statistical tools to reduce variation in assigned area.
- Work with the quality department to audit, improve, and maintain the process’s measurement system.
- Supply technical support to Operations Managers and Operations Team Leaders.
- Work with maintenance to maintain equipment to reduce process variation.
- Manage small capital projects while maintaining all other duties.
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field required. - Experience:
Up to 5 years of job‑related experience required. - Certifications:
Related industrial certifications a plus. - Knowledge: MSHA compliance and regulations, preventative and corrective maintenance, and process improvements required.
- Skills:
Computer skills, troubleshooting skills required. - Abilities:
Ability to make changes based on production needs and train as needed. - Behaviors:
Strong communication with internal and external individuals.
