Position: OR Nurse (RN) - Bonner Springs, Kansas

Key Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in perioperative nursing, specifically the Operating Room (OR)
• In-depth knowledge of surgical asepsis, sterile technique, and patient safety protocols
• Proven skills in monitoring patient status during procedures and responding to dynamic situations
• Strong ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and support staff
• Current BLS certification (additional certifications preferred)

Schedule:

• Specific hours and shifts will be discussed during the interview process to fit departmental needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases
• Prepare surgical suites, ensuring all instruments are sterile and supplies are ready
• Act as a scrub or circulating nurse based on each procedure's needs
• Monitor patient status, including vital signs, anesthesia response, and pain management
• Maintain and update patient records accurately and promptly
• Communicate efficiently with surgeons, anesthesia, and other team members to ensure seamless patient care
