• Possession of a valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) endorsement.
• Demonstrated experience working with children who are visually impaired, especially in school settings.
• Strong communication and consultative skills, adept at collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families.
• Ability to adapt consultation to meet the unique needs of students at varying developmental stages from Pre‑K through 8th grade.

• Deliver consultative services to students and educational staff, guiding the implementation of strategies and accommodations tailored to individual needs.
• Schedule and conduct regular consultations (30 minutes per month, with three additional 30-minute sessions throughout the school year) within flexible, pre-determined time frames.
• Provide expertise on accessible instructional materials, technologies, and classroom modifications to support student success.
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to develop and monitor individualized education plans, ensuring compliance and promoting best practices in inclusive education.
• Share insights and recommendations for classroom adaptations, fostering an empowering learning environment for students with visual impairments.
