Production Manager, Manufacturing & Industrial Operations
Proliant Health & Biologicals is seeking a Plant Superintendent to join our manufacturing leadership team in Boone, Iowa. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role will lead daily plant operations with direct responsibility for Production Supervisors, the Maintenance Supervisor, and plant employees. The Plant Superintendent plays a critical role in driving safety, quality, productivity, employee development, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
WhatYou'll Do
- Lead and develop manufacturing and maintenance teams
- Drive operational performance across safety, quality, productivity, and cost
- Support production planning and execution
- Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement
- Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, OSHA, cGMP, and company standards
- Partner with plant leadership to improve efficiency, reliability, and employee engagement
- Support budgeting, capital projects, and operational initiatives
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience
- 3+ years experience leading supervisors and frontline teams
- Strong knowledge of production operations, maintenance coordination, and performance metrics
- Experience in food, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, agricultural processing, or other similarly regulated manufacturing environments required
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills with proficiency in excel data analytics
