Westhaven, a senior care community managed by Cassia, is hiring an RN Assisted Living Director of Nursing to join our dedicated care team in Boone, IA. As the RN Assisted Living Director of Nursing, you will oversee and evaluate the clinical program while demonstrating strong financial stewardship and responsible resource management. You will be responsible for organizing, directing, implementing, and evaluating resident care services in collaboration with the campus Administrator. This role requires a minimum of three years of supervisory experience, along with strong leadership, communication, and clinical expertise to ensure high-quality care and operational excellence.

RN Assisted Living Director of Nursing Responsibilities- Utilize a high level of collaboration skills with department directors to implement processes for resident care, dietary needs, maintenance and safety.
- Ensure positive engagement between staff, residents, families, guests by fostering an open-door atmosphere.
- Oversee staff development, hiring practices, in-service training sessions, performance feedback, and promote a strong teamwork environment.
- Lead sales and marketing initiatives to attract potential residents that will meet or exceed occupancy and service‑offerings expectations at Westhaven.
- Maintain impeccable files to ensure compliance with proper documentation.
- Participate in development of strategic long‑range plans for the community and Cassia; responsible for financial management.
- Direct and manage the care and well‑being of assisted living residents.
- Delegate and manage assisted living staff.
- Assist residents and families.
- Complete paperwork as necessary for admissions, change of status, etc.
- Coordinate staff education and onboarding.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date knowledge of current trends and new developments in the Assisted Living field.
- Must have a current Iowa RN license or RN licensure within the Compact States.
- Three years’ staff supervisory/team leadership experience.
- IA Certification for Residential Care Facilities/Assisted Living or willingness to obtain upon hire.
