As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Westhaven, you'll provide hands‑on nursing care, administer medications and treatments, monitor resident health, and support individualized care plans with a skilled clinical team.
Position Type:
Full‑time working varying hours including weekends and every other holiday.
- Days: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm
- Evenings: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
- Nights: 10:00 pm – 6:00 am
Bonus: $5,000 (Full‑time).
Location:
112 W 4th St, Boone, IA 50036.
- Displays a courteous attitude and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
- Coordinates, oversees, and provides resident‑related care.
- Administers medications and/or treatments in accordance with physicians' orders and monitors for effectiveness/response.
- Manages medications, supplies, and equipment, including ordering, receiving, storing, and disposing of all items in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Documents care using computerized medication administration and charting software.
- Notifies Clinical Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and takes follow‑up action as necessary.
- Must have a current Iowa LPN license in good standing.
- Must have CPR certification or be willing to obtain one.
- Experience in long‑term care preferred.
- Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
