What is the opportunity?We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Information Technology team in Boone, NC
. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to IT staff, including purchase requisitions, contract approvals, travel authorizations, expense reimbursements, calendar management, and meeting coordination.
- Serve as a resource to IT staff on office equipment, software applications, license renewals, policies, and procedures, and collaborate across IT teams to provide administrative support for department projects and initiatives.
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Accounts Payable to obtain required approvals and process invoices, and reconcile and maintain monthly cell phone statements.
- Support IT hiring and onboarding by coordinating interview itineraries, meetings, and travel arrangements, and assisting new employees with Samaritan's Purse policies and procedures.
- Communicate with vendors and consultants to obtain required information for contracts, agreements, invoices, and new vendor setup within Samaritan's Purse systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate's degree and three (3) to five (5) years' related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and intermediate technology skills, with the ability to learn and effectively use new computer systems and software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to accurately maintain records and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Ability to quickly learn new tasks and processes, take initiative, exercise sound judgment, and solve problems effectively.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, transition efficiently between tasks, and maintain accuracy and productivity in a dynamic work environment.
