Chemistry & Fermentation Sciences – 250150

The department offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with eight concentrations and a BA and Fermentation Sciences degrees. This role supports a dynamically evolving curriculum for undergraduate chemistry and fermentation students, preparing them for graduate studies, professional schools, and industry careers.

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry; related fields acceptable if at least 18 graduate credits in chemistry.
• ABD candidates considered only if all degree requirements are satisfied before the start date.

• Open to any chemistry subdiscipline.
• Teaching experience in introductory, general, organic, inorganic, analytical, physical, or biochemistry preferred.

Teach up to 12 contact hours per week in undergraduate laboratories and/or lectures, including in-person and online introductory-level courses. May be assigned higher-level courses based on qualifications. Hold office hours, promote chemical safety, and perform normal teaching duties. Engage in departmental service activities aligned with the department’s mission.
