Minimum Qualifications:
MA in Religious Studies or related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD or MA in Religious Studies, relevant teaching experience and evidence of effective teaching.
The Department of Philosophy & Religion seeks to hire adjunct faculty for various courses for the Spring 2026 semester. Course preparation and delivery, grading, and maintaining office hours. Student engagement is expected. Face‑to‑face delivery at our Boone campus is preferred, but synchronous or asynchronous online delivery with virtual office hours will be considered. Courses may include REL 1110 Religion and Imaginary Worlds, REL 2010 Old Testament:
Jewish Scriptures, REL 2020 New Testament, REL 2300 Religion and the Good Life, REL 3115 Religion and the Arts, and REL 3770 Religion, Gender, and the Body, as well as others depending on department need and instructor expertise.

- Additional duties as assigned by the department chair
Number of Hours Per Week varies based on course schedule (maximum 5 courses per academic year). Number of Months per Year: 9.
