We are seeking a Roving Finance Manager to join our Projects team in Boone, NC. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the role of Roving Finance Manager
, you will have the opportunity to:
Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
Provide both in-person and remote financial management support to fill temporary gaps or transitions within finance teams for international field offices. Deploys to support the set-up of financial operations during the initial wave of disaster responses in coordination with the International Headquarters (IHQ)-based Incident Management Team.
Provide mentorship, encouragement, and training on procedures and regulations pertaining to financial management for International field office and DART personnel.
When deployed to a field office or on a disaster response, ensures that teams follow all finance policies and procedures. Ensures adequate cash low for operations and safety of financial resources. Performs or oversees daily functions including recording all cash, check and bank transfer transactions, maintaining cash and bank ledgers, monitoring cash advances, field expense reports, and Purchase Card transactions, and reconciling cash on hand and monthly bank reconciliations.
Provide required monthly reports by specified deadlines to the line manager as assigned. Reviews and approves transactions for Samaritan's Purse field operations based in the region as appropriate. Creates reports for project activity documenting the compliance of awarding agency requirements pertaining to all financial and procurement matters.
Collaborate with Regional Finance Officers to support other needs and expectations of field finance management and field offices including support of global payroll processing.
Provide Finance support to Regional Finance Officers, Restricted Funds Team, and/or Awards Management Team as time allows between field deployments.

As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:
Education:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or an Associate's degree in Biomedical Technology with five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of accounting education and managerial experience. CPA or equivalent certification is preferred; overseas work experience, foreign currency and grants management experience. 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, an opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people from diverse educational, linguistic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds while demonstrating diplomacy, encouragement, and concern for the spiritual well-being of the team.
Ability to apply strong knowledge of GAAP and financial principles to calculate, analyze, and clearly present financial information, including rates, ratios, percentages, and other relevant data, while maintaining attention to detail in disaster settings.
