Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor & Rooms Inspector
Location: Courtyard by Marriott, Boone, NC
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00/hour (with gratuity and bonus program)
Schedule: Fri-Sun availability required; days off will be during the week. Hours will vary between 40-50 hours/week. Holidays and shifts during inclement weather may be required.
General Overview:We are seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor and Rooms Inspector to join our team at Courtyard by Marriott Boone NC, a well-established and family-owned hotel in Boone, NC. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining superior cleanliness in guest rooms and public areas while ensuring an adequate supply of materials and cleaning products.
This role requires both leadership and hands‑on involvement. You will inspect guest rooms, coach your team on proper housekeeping procedures, and ensure that each staff member is performing at their best. You will also have the opportunity to step in and clean rooms when necessary.
This is a management‑in‑training position with the goal of developing the skills to eventually lead the department on quieter days. There are two of these positions available at our property, and you will report directly to the Executive Housekeeper

- Guest Room and Public Area Cleanliness: Ensure that all guest rooms and public spaces are thoroughly cleaned and turned over in a timely manner according to company standards.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and support the housekeeping team, providing coaching and guidance to ensure proper housekeeping procedures are followed.
- Inspection and Quality Control: Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to hotel quality standards. Address any issues and provide constructive feedback to staff.
- Inventory Management: Take inventory of housekeeping supplies and linens to maintain an adequate stock level and minimize shortages.
- Scheduling: Create and manage weekly employee schedules based on projected occupancy levels.
- Guest Interaction: Acknowledge and assist guests, addressing any questions or concerns to ensure their satisfaction.
- Training & Compliance: Ensure staff are properly trained in the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Ensure that all supplies are correctly labeled and safely stored.
- Collaboration: Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed to the Maintenance Department or Assistant General Manager (AGM).
- Hands‑on Cleaning: Step in to clean rooms when necessary or when the team requires assistance during busy periods.

Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a hotel setting (e.g., front desk, housekeeping, or related hotel service roles) is required.

- Ability to use/operate a two‑way radio.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
. - Reach overhead, bend, twist, pull, and stoop as required.
