Director, CRM Solutions

Position Summary:

The Director of CRM Solutions serves as a strategic and technical leader for the development, implementation, and ongoing optimization of Slate in support of Enrollment Management goals. Responsibilities include overseeing design and integration of application workflows, data imports/exports, custom process automations, mentoring the CRM team, and ensuring continuous improvement and technical excellence of the system.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience leveraging CRM to achieve enrollment successes
  • Effective communication skills, both in person and in writing
  • Ability to perform highly technical work and understand relational databases
  • Team mentality and ability to operate in an ever‑changing environment
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with university, state, and federal rules and laws
Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive experience administering and optimizing Slate in higher education, preferably within Enrollment Management
  • Expertise in building advanced Slate configurations – workflows, portals, forms, queries, datasets, communication plans, and automation rules
  • Proven ability to lead large‑scale CRM implementations or system enhancements from planning through execution
  • Strong understanding of admissions, recruitment, financial aid, and student lifecycle processes
  • Experience integrating Slate with enterprise systems such as SIS, ERP, data warehouses, and third‑party applications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership & Planning – Lead long‑term vision and continuous enhancement of Slate; recommend policy and architecture improvements; participate in IT planning; lead ad hoc work groups to analyze needs and drive implementation.
  • Technical Expertise & Solution Development – Serve as senior Slate administrator; oversee configuration, optimization, and process enhancements; design workflows, queries, portals, automation rules, and reporting tools; diagnose complex technical issues and implement scalable solutions; stay current on Slate upgrades and best practices.
  • Project & Operations Management – Oversee multiple concurrent Slate projects affecting Enrollment Management and campus stakeholders; manage timelines, resources, and personnel; communicate project status, priorities, and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Consultation, Training & Support – Act as primary Slate consultant for campus partners; provide advanced support, troubleshoot complex issues; develop and deliver training, documentation, and guidance; collaborate across departments to align Slate capabilities with institutional objectives.

Type of Position:
Full Time Staff/Non‑Faculty, 1.0 FTE.

Work Schedule:

Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm (occasional weekend events).

Salary Range: $74,000 – $81,000.
