Samaritans Purse is seeking a
Housekeeper
to join the Housekeeping Team at our
Boone, NC
campus. Being a part of this team, you will be sharing the responsibility for cleaning and maintaining buildings and offices throughout our North Wilkesboro campus. This role assists the many different arms of ministry at Samaritans Purse to share Jesus with the entire world. Come be a part of this team!!
A Day in the Life of a Housekeeper:
At Samaritans Purse, the Gospel is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotion and spend time praying for each other, our staff, and volunteers who serve around the globe.
In the role of
Housekeeper
, you will have the opportunity to:
- Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness to Him
- Clean buildings, offices, and restrooms by sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, and caring for floors
- Clean furniture, carpets, windows, blinds, doors, jambs, refrigerators, sinks, toilets, light fixtures, countertops, and windows
- Empty sanitary receptacles and remove trash from all buildings
- Report any maintenance or safety items encountered during scheduled work
- Work with other staff to coordinate special assignments, completing tasks and duties assigned by the Housekeeping Manager
- Clean offsite areas as directed
- Assist with annual spring cleaning of all buildings
- Follow the planned cleaning schedule set by the Housekeeping Shift Supervisor
- Restock supplies and refill soap and tissue dispensers.
- High school diploma or GED and three (3) months related housekeeping experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- General knowledge of basic cleaning and ability to learn the Samaritans Purse cleaning standards
- Ability to solve simple problems that may arise during a workday
- General knowledge of cleaning chemicals
- General knowledge of housekeeping safety protocols
