University Highlands Student Apartments and App State's new off-campus apartment community, Mountaineer Ridge, in Boone, NC is looking for an experienced and motivated Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance operations and keep our community running at its best. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you'll make a real impact on residents' daily lives. If you take pride in your craft and love leading a team, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities- Report directly to the Service and General Managers of the properties
- Supervise and schedule a team of maintenance technicians to ensure efficient daily operations
- Perform and oversee repairs in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance maintenance
- Manage and prioritize work orders using property management software to ensure timely completion
- Conduct routine property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs proactively
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and capital improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company maintenance standards
- Manage maintenance inventory, order supplies, and control departmental expenses
- Respond to after‑hours emergency maintenance calls as needed
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in residential property management or apartment communities
- 1+ year of supervisory or team lead experience preferred
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
- HVAC EPA 608 Certification preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills with a team‑first attitude
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
