Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00), weekdays, with up to 2 weekends per month.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Float RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide care in various units including ICU, Intermediate, Stepdown, and Med Surg, as patient volume requires. This position requires flexibility and the ability to float between different departments to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in ICU, Intermediate, Stepdown, and Med Surg units.
• Manage patient ratios that typically range from 1:5 to 1:6, depending on patient acuity.
• Participate in the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Utilize EMR - EPIC for charting and documentation.
• Participate in holiday shifts as required by the contract.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a float role.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Active NC or multistate nursing license.
• Recent experience with EMR - EPIC is mandatory.
