Registered Nurse – IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced IMCU Float Pool RN to provide critical care for adult and occasional pediatric patients. This role requires flexibility, proficiency in telemetry, and the ability to adapt to fluctuating census and patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Administer direct patient care following clinical protocols and procedures.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, promptly addressing arrhythmias or abnormalities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using EPIC EMR.
• Float to Med Surg units as needed, maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including safety, confidentiality, and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid, active RN license in North Carolina or a multi-state compact license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent IMCU or telemetry experience.
• At least 2 years of travel nursing experience preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications through AHA.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR and telemetry monitoring required.
• Ability to work 3×12 night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) and float within the hospital.
