IMCU Float Pool Registered Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced IMCU Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) for immediate placement in a dynamic medical environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IMCU and telemetry care, and demonstrate proficiency in patient management.

• Provide direct patient care in an IMCU setting, managing a patient ratio of 5:1.
• Float to Med Surg units as needed based on patient volume.
• Perform telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications and assist with medical procedures in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Take responsibility for pediatric patients when required, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

This position entails a night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including up to 2 weekends per month. Flexibility to accommodate block scheduling requests may be considered.

North Carolina

• Minimum of 2 years of IMCU/Telemetry experience required.
• At least 2 years of travel nursing experience.
• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.
• EPIC EMR experience is required.
