Nurse - LPN

Role:

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in an outpatient addiction recovery setting.

• Providing basic medical services, administering medications like Methadone and Suboxone, and ensuring safe medication delivery according to regulations.
• Conducting assessments for new, quarterly, and annual patients, and responding to medical emergencies.
• Documenting patient records, medication transactions, and progress notes accurately.
• Educating patients on medications, side effects, and health topics; conducting urine drug screens and tests.
• Monitoring patient responses, managing treatment plans, and making referrals for specialized care.
• Participating in case conferences, ordering supplies, and coordinating patient appointments.
• Responding to emergencies, recognizing overdose signs, and managing clinical procedures like Mantoux tests.

• Licensed Practical Nurse license required, with graduation from an accredited nursing school.
• Knowledge of infection control, patient care compliance, and regulations.
• CPR, First Aid, and BLS certifications.
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience with addiction or mental health disorders and psychopharmacology.

• Strong understanding of medication management and patient safety protocols.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and provide appropriate care.
• Effective documentation and communication skills.
• Team participation in case reviews and ongoing training.
