More about the Role

We are currently a three-doctor practice and we are very excited to add a new veterinarian to our team! We are seeking a personable, enthusiastic, and motivated associate veterinarian to join our team! We welcome veterinarians of all experience levels as our doctors are enthusiastic to share their knowledge and mentor a recent graduate.

Our hospital would be great for DVMs of varying interests as our services provided include a wide array of preventative medicine, wellness care, dentistry, and surgery. We have a wonderful work environment and a leadership team to support your goals. Our staff is very friendly, collaborative, and considerate. We take pride in our long-standing and dedicated clientele that allows us to practice quality medicine.

Essential

Responsibilities
  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients' medical records.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
