Part‑time Sales Associate (Boone, NC)

• Greets the guest when entering the store or the department.
• Determines the guest’s needs and provides appropriate solutions, such as offering a basket, holding merchandise at the register, opening a dressing room, transferring from another store location, and establishing rapport.
• Emphasizes the selling points (features/benefits) of merchandise and suggests other options if appropriate.
• Reaffirms the guest’s selection.
• Suggests related merchandise for the guest’s consideration.
• Gives directions to other Mast Stores and provides information on local restaurants, accommodations and attractions.
• Thanks the guest for visiting.
• Arrives on time, starts work immediately upon clocking in.
• Assists in unloading the delivery truck as assigned.
• Familiarizes with weekly ads and promotions.
• Practices loss‑prevention techniques, stays outside the register pit unless conducting a transaction, and moves around the sales floor appropriately.
• Performs expected tasks while staying aware of all activity in the department.
• Demonstrates initiative and seeks additional projects.
• Looks for ways to improve the guest’s experience.

• Outgoing, energetic, and with strong communication skills.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
