* We are looking for a  
** Technical Lead
** who will take ownership of the product from a technical standpoint-establishing direction, raising standards, and leading the engineering effort to transform and expand the platform.

This is not a maintenance role. This is a leadership role focused on  
** stabilizing, scaling, and rebuilding where necessary** .

** What You Will Be Responsible For*
* + Assess the current system architecture, codebase, and technical debt, and establish a clear path forward

+ Define and enforce development standards, architecture decisions, and engineering practices

+ Lead and mentor a small team of developers, setting expectations for quality, speed, and accountability

+ Architect and support scalable, enterprise-grade systems capable of long-term growth

+ Drive the development of new capabilities and modernization of existing components

+ Design and implement REST APIs for internal and external integrations

+ Ensure system reliability, performance, and security

+ Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development and improve quality

+ Work closely with product and leadership to align technical execution with business outcomes

This role is expected to combine  
** hands-on development + technical leadership** .

This expectation is consistent with how technical leads operate-owning product performance, mentoring developers, and driving technical direction.

** Must-Have Capabilities*
* + 5+ years of experience in full stack development, with strong focus on Python and Django

+ Proven track record of  
** architecting and supporting large-scale enterprise applications*
* + Strong experience with relational databases (Postgre

SQL preferred)

+ Strong front-end development capability (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

+ Demonstrated ability to write clean, well-structured, maintainable code

+ Experience designing and building REST APIs

+ Experience working in Agile environments with version control systems

+ Experience using modern AI development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or equivalent)

+ Ability to evaluate existing systems and make decisive architectural improvements

** Nice-to-Have Experience*
* + Experience building APIs using Django REST Framework (DRF)

+

Experience with Apple Wallet and/or Google Pay integrations

+

Experience with Redis

+

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

+

Experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager

+ Formal degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
