Responsible for all aspects of quality to maintain quality standards set by the Company. This person is responsible for all Quality Assurance testing of finished product in accordance with North American Pipe’s standard procedures.

• Perform a variety of physical testing of product, including rubber ring testing, impact, quick burst, flattening, brabender, long‑term testing and other required QA testing.
• Complete paperwork and reports as needed.
• Use a variety of tools and instruments to assess and inspect product.
• Check the quality of finished goods, including those loaded for delivery, and returned goods for acceptance to stock.
• Review stocked pipe periodically and identify damaged product for removal from inventory.
• Maintain the area to be clean and free from safety hazards.
• Perform other duties assigned to assist in daily plant operations.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

High School Diploma or GED. Three years of experience or training/education in production and/or quality control.

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; occasionally sit or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work involves exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts; frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock; occasional exposure to high, precarious places and vibration; noise levels usually loud.
