Position: Upright Bass Teacher - The Music Shop - Boonton, NJ

Position Overview

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional upright bass instructor to teach part-time at The Music Shop, in Boonton, New Jersey. Teaching will be in person.

Responsibilities
  • Teach upright bass lessons to students, both for private instruction and ensemble participation.
  • Maintain consistent availability during open hours.
  • Confirm attendance, punctuality, and professional conduct.
  • Pass routine background check.
Qualifications
  • Degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
  • Demonstrated love of teaching and experience working with young musicians.
  • Robust appreciation for punctuality and reliable transportation.
Compensation and Benefits

Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $30-34 per hour. Health benefit options and a 401(K) program with employer matching are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble after 30 days of employment.
