Performing Arts Roles/ Dance Instructor
Ensemble Schools is seeking a professional Youth String Orchestra Conductor to direct part‑time at The Music Shop, Boonton, New Jersey. The instructor will take ownership and direct junior strings and intermediate strings programs, teaching in person.
Responsibilities- Teach two 90‑minute sessions per week, totaling 34 weeks from September through May.
- Select music appropriate for the students.
- Educate, unite, and nurture a musical community, promoting healthy camaraderie between students.
- Motivate and inspire the musical community and students.
- Proficiency in a string instrument such as violin, viola, cello, or double bass.
- Strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
- Demonstrated love of teaching and experience working with young musicians.
- Robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and ability to pass a routine background check.
- Greater availability will be preferred; candidates must be available from September through May.
Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be $40–45 per hour.
