Overview
Data Consultants help us unlock measurable value for our clients by guiding onboarding, mapping to XP’s data model, and delivering actionable insights that drive retention and revenue growth. This role is central to transforming raw data into actionable insights, driving strategic decisions, and contributing to the success and growth of our organization and our clients. It involves bridging the gap between complex data and clear business objectives to enable innovation, optimise processes, and deliver exceptional value.
This is a hybrid role.
- Client Data Onboarding & Integration – Guide the mapping and documentation of client data to the XP data model, ensuring integrations are structured for effective reporting and targeting functionality. Work with client teams to reconcile our data with theirs, ensuring a high standard of accuracy is achieved and maintained.
- Consulting & Insights Delivery – Analyze platform data to produce performance insights for benchmarking, build novel data solutions scoped by clients, and support commercial teams in communicating product offering.
- Cross-Team Collaboration – Work with Product and Data teams to feed back client requirements and share reusable insight frameworks with Services teams. Partner with Solutions function to ensure technical and use-case focused work can integrate and support our clients’ needs.
- Client Enablement & Training – Educate clients and internal stakeholders on best practices in data use, and deliver sessions on interpreting dashboards and metrics. Run training sessions with clients to help build and understand the various functionalities enabled by the data solutions across industries.
- Analytical and Consultative Balance – Demonstrated ability to blend analytical rigor with a consultative approach, translating complex data into clear, actionable business recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Experience With Business Intelligence (BI) Tools – Proficiency in utilizing various BI tools to visualize data, build interactive dashboards, and generate reports that effectively communicate performance insights and support strategic decision-making. Ability to understand and articulate stakeholder needs in the visualization space, and make recommendations about analytical approaches to support client growth.
- Coding Knowledge – Foundational understanding of SQL for querying and manipulating data, enabling effective data extraction and preparation for analysis and reporting. Exposure to additional languages used for data processing and automation, such as Python.
- Familiarity with CRM/CDP Data – Practical experience working with data from CRM and CDP systems, understanding their structure and application in driving customer retention and revenue growth. Able to work proficiently with both state-based and transactional datasets.
- Strong Communication Skills For Non-Technical Stakeholders – Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical concepts and data insights in a clear, concise, and understandable manner to a non-technical audience, fostering effective collaboration and informed decision-making. Consistent in documenting work, and using internal governance tools such as Jira/Confluence/Git.
- Comfort Working Across Commercial and Technical Teams – Adept in collaborating with both commercial and technical teams, bridging the gap between business objectives and technical implementation, and ensuring alignment across departments.
This is a remote role based in New York.
