Our next full-time Manufacturing Technician will be a key player in production and will assist in the execution of processing and packaging activities in a cannabis production environment. They will support the maintenance of various packaging and manufacturing standards as well as coordinate the opening of the operation and closing of the department daily with the department manager.
To Be BluntYou will be challenged to work tactically to ensure complete and on time execution of production schedules.
One minute you will be preparing for the day and ensuring area is ready to begin production.
The next minute you will be cross‑training other packaging line operators.
And the next minute assisting with inventory counts of packaging and labeling components, finished products.
Regardless of the task, it’s critical you have strong situational awareness and EQ as you’ll work within a diverse team in the organization.
Where you’ll be plantedThis position will be on-site in our Boonton, NJ facility.
Key Responsibilities- Adhere to the daily production schedule to ensure attainment of efficiency goals.
- Verify that all applicable working areas, tools, and processing equipment are maintained and in good working order prior to the start of each shift or batch.
- Clean and sanitize glassware, transfer materials, storage vessels, tools and working surfaces.
- Manufacture products in accordance with processing batch records using manual and semi-automated equipment.
- Maintain and calibrate equipment as needed.
- Keep work area cleaned and well organized.
- Inspect work area upon arrival and departure for proper safety and eGMP.
- Accurately complete batch records and associated documentation.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process problems.
- Support process development.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of Terr Ascend processes.
- Ensure the safety of self and others by maintaining a safe and orderly workspace.
- Other duties in post-processing production, packaging, labeling and R&D as required.
- 1–2 Years of Experience in a Manufacturing, Production, or Assembly environment is a plus.
- 1–2 Years in a Distribution Environment is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Self‑motivated to learn and improve.
- Strong mathematical skills with ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide various units of measure.
- Proficient in computer applications (Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Etc…).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, constantly changing, team environment.
- Effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.
- Capable of sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, squatting and/or walking for extended periods.
- Ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from manuals, data sheets, or other documents.
