This role supports a large greenhouse construction and marijuana grow operation in Boonton, NJ. You assist carpenters, heavy equipment operators, and the greenhouse crew with a variety of physical and general labor tasks to keep the project running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Assist carpenters, heavy equipment operators, and greenhouse crew with day-to-day tasks on the marijuana grow and greenhouse project.
- Perform general labor duties such as raking, site cleanup, and maintaining a safe and organized work area.
- Carry and move construction materials and equipment throughout the job site as directed.
- Use hand tools safely and effectively to support construction and greenhouse-related activities.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and skilled tradespeople to complete assigned tasks on schedule.
- Adhere to all site safety procedures and guidelines while performing physically demanding work.
- Support setup, maintenance, and cleanup activities associated with greenhouse construction.
- Work cooperatively with team members to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- 1–3 years of construction experience in a general labor or similar role.
- Experience using common hand tools in a construction or outdoor work environment.
- Ability to lift 100+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
- Carpentry experience sufficient to assist carpenters with basic tasks.
- Strong work ethic with a focus on completing tasks safely and efficiently.
- High reliability, including consistent attendance and punctuality.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience working on greenhouse, agricultural, or outdoor construction projects is beneficial.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with changing tasks and priorities.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and ask questions when clarification is needed.
- Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a diverse project team.

Work EnvironmentThis is a greenhouse construction project in Boonton, NJ, expected to run approximately 6–8 weeks. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with work performed outdoors and in greenhouse structures. The environment is physically demanding, involving lifting heavy materials, standing, walking, and manual labor throughout the shift. You work around carpenters, heavy equipment operators, and greenhouse crew, using standard hand tools and following site safety protocols.
Appropriate work attire for a construction site, including sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing, is required.
This is a contract position based out of Boonton, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
