We’re recruiting an exceptional Senior Support Worker for a brand-new home in the Aintree area of Liverpool that is offering just that!
We are incredibly proud to be partnering with an outstanding children’s residential service provider led by an inspirational Owner and Director dedicated to giving children a true home in a breath-taking setting, committed to ensuring a healthy work-life balance for all staff. Due to its child focused beliefs, values and high standards, the home is supported by one of the UKs leading activists and voices for changes in the care system who is a passionate advocate and campaigner for improvements for children in the care system.
This isn’t just any residential home—it’s set in a beautiful rural location and designed to provide the very best environment for children aged 7–17 who have experienced trauma in collaboration with inhouse Phycologists, Psychotherapists and other specialist support experts.

You will be fully supported by a very experienced and passionate management team, a Responsible Individual with a proven track record of successfully opening and running children’s residential homes, offering unwavering dedication to both child-focused care and staff development through exceptional support and training.
Duties
Lead and supervise the care team to ensure the delivery of personalised care plans tailored to each child's needs.
* Support and mentor Residential Support Workers, modelling best practice.
* Participate in daily operations within the care home, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and standards.
* Lead a values-driven, therapeutic home dedicated to transforming young lives.
* Shape culture, practice, and quality from the ground up.
* Complete and review placement plans, risk assessments, and support documentation.
* Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
* Monitor the wellbeing of children, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.
* Maintain accurate documentation related to care plans, medication administration, and incident reports.
* Ensure a safe environment by always adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Foster positive relationships with families, external agencies, and healthcare providers to support children's needs
Essential Candidate Requirements
* Minimum age 22 (Ofsted requirement).
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
* Right to work in the UK. (without restrictions or requiring sponsorship)
* Full manual UK driving licence.
* Fluent in English (spoken and written).
* Enhanced DBS check (required prior to employment).
Desired Qualifications and Skills
* At least 2 years’ experience of working within a children's residential home environment, Youth Work, SEN or similar preferably as a Senior/ Leader.
* Strong background in supporting children with EBD.
* Strong safeguarding knowledge and ability to respond appropriately to concerns.
* In-depth understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations, safeguarding, and trauma-informed care.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
