Role Description

This is a full-time, site-based role as a Registered Residential Manager in Sefton. The post involves overseeing a multi-build children’s home registration consisting of three homes supporting up to six children.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership, management and operation of the service, ensuring full compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards while delivering high-quality, therapeutic care.

Responsibilities include leading and developing staff teams, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment, overseeing care planning and safeguarding practice, and ensuring consistent routines and boundaries for children.

As the Registered Manager you will liaise with placing authorities, professionals and families, advocate for children, and ensure a stable and supportive environment that promotes positive outcomes.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Deputy Manager within an Ofsted registered children’s home
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or working towards
  • Strong knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted inspection framework
  • Experience supporting children with complex needs and trauma backgrounds
  • Ability to lead and develop staff teams and manage performance
  • Full UK driving licence

  • Good organisational and record-keeping skills
  • Effective communication with professionals and external agencies
