Are you an experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician seeking a challenging role within a reputable dealership in Southport? Our client is currently looking to recruit a skilled and dedicated Diagnostic Technician to join their dynamic team. Duties of a Diagnostic Technician
  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and servicing on a variety of vehicles, including electric models, with full training provided
  • Carry out MOT tests in compliance with manufacturer standards and safety regulations
  • Identify faults accurately using diagnostic equipment and implement effective repairs
  • Interpret technical information and carry out repairs efficiently and accurately
  • Conduct road tests to diagnose issues and validate repairs
  • Diagnostic Technicians fit accessories and perform vehicle inspections on both new and used vehicles
  • Work independently within a busy, fast-paced environment to deliver first-time fixes
  • Adhere to health and safety, warranty, and company procedures
  • Clearly communicate technical findings and maintain high standards of workmanship
Requirements of a Diagnostic Technician
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Minimum of four years’ experience working within a workshop environment
  • Knowledge of routine servicing and mechanical repairs
  • Strong diagnostic skills, with a Level 3 Technician qualification
  • MOT accreditation or willingness to achieve it
  • Honest, with high integrity and excellent team collaboration skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work within structured processes
  • Committed to continuous technical development and learning as a Diagnostic Technician
